On-going Project Details

         Three projects had been included in the Centrally Sponsored Command Area Development and Water Management (CADWM) Programme in the year, 2007-08 and two new projects viz Khuga Multipurpose Projects and Thoubal Multipurpose Project (Barrage Component Phase – II) in the year 2010-11. The above 3 (three) Projects are the Cluster of Minor Irrigation Scheme which have already created irrigation potential scattered in the districts of Manipur and the two new projects are major project in the district of Churachandpur and Thoubal respectively. Out of the above 3 M.I. Projects, 2 (two) M.I. Project namely 21 M.I. and 37 M.I. Projects have been completed in the year 2012-13. The designed irrigation potential of Khuga Multipurpose Project and Thoubal Multipurpose Project (Barrage Component ) are 9575 ha. CCA. and 17150 ha. CCA respectively. Due to non completion of the canal system CADWM Programme is taken-up only in 2485 ha. CCA in respect of Thoubal Multipurpose Project. Three new projects namely Cluster of 213 M.I. Schemes in Imphal East, Imphal West & Churachandpur Districts of Manipur, 10659 ha. CCA, Cluster of 125 M.I. Schemes in Thoubal, Ukhrul & Chandel Districts of Manipur, 9043 ha. CCA & Cluster of 169 M.I. Schemes in Bishnupur, Tamenglong & Senapati Districts of Manipur, 9766 ha. CCA have also taken-up under AIBP from the year 2013-14. The cluster of M.I.
